#ChewOfTheWeek – Cask & Pig, Dartmouth

Time to pig out!
Cask & Pig is a pretty new addition to the SouthCoast gastronomy, and oh boy are we happy to have them here! It is an awesome and beautifully decorated alehouse found on Dartmouth’s western end of Route 6. And let us tell you, being based in Downtown New Bedford, Cask & Pig is certainly worth the drive!
Trash Can Nachos: Anything but trashy
Pictured above, this hearty plate of nachos is listed as a starter, but it could be a finisher all its own! This dish consists of warm nachos on top, side by side, and below cheddar, queso, black bean corn relish, and cumin sour cream with the ability to add chili, guacamole, pulled pork (our choice), BBQ brisket, fried chicken or crumbled chourico…wow! Perfect for the whole table.

Now that’s what I call mac & cheese!
While this is a side, its worthy of its own blurb. This breaded mac and cheese is to die for! Just when you thought this warm and gooey masterpiece couldn’t get any better… it does! You are encouraged to add BBQ pulled pork, buffalo chicken or veggies. Why wouldn’t ya?
Breaking News: You can get this Mac & Cheese as a full sized meal too!

Brisket Grilled Cheese: Best of both worlds
You like Brisket. You like Grilled Cheese. You’ll love the Brisket Grilled Cheese! Its not at every restaurant you can get one of these. Between two deliciously grilled pieces of bread you can find smoked beef brisket, cheddar and american cheese, and Cask & Pig’s very own BBQ sauce. Oh yeah, did we mention that it comes with fries? Cause it does!

A True Alehouse
Cask & Pig is a friendly place to grab a drink or gain several pounds. Its menu includes other classics such as chicken & waffles, a whole assortment of ribs, bone-in or boneless wings with 9 different flavors to chose from, seafood and salads. Really, what else do you need? If this post has you hungry for some Cask & Pig, we GotChew!
