#ChewOfTheWeek – Scottie’s Pub, Fall River

A sports bar that knocks it out the park!

Whether its game time or you’re just hungry, Scottie’s Pub is just what you need! They’re not your average pub, Scottie’s has an extensive menu of burgers, pastas, seafood and a wide range of delicious appetizers. It was far too much for us to sample with one visit, but we (happily) did the best we could!

One Word: WINGS

Scottie’s Pub does not mess around when it comes to their wings! With 12 different flavors to chose from it may be the hardest decision of your week. After much deliberation we chose a split order of Gold Fever and Stingin’ Honey Garlic wings. We couldn’t have been happier with our decision, seriously these were some of the best wings we’ve had in a while. Gold Fever is a classic mix of BBQ and Honey Mustard while the Stingin’ Honey Garlic wings have just the right balance of sweet, tang, and kick!

Apps on Apps on Apps!

With a selection of apps ranging from ribs & sliders to shrimp & nachos, Scottie’s Pub makes it hard to chose just one or two. Thankfully, you don’t have to! With their “Pick 3” option, Scottie’s lets you chose a group of three appetizers. We decided on clam cakes, mozzarella sticks and mac & cheese bites. These delicious apps were accompanied by marinara sauce and Scottie’s exceptional chipotle mayo sauce. Both the mac & cheese bites and the clam cakes surpassed all expectations. Best mac & cheese bites I’ve ever had and I’ve never seen more clam in a clam cake before. Most places are pretty conservative with their clam cakes, not Scottie’s, they’re generous!

Cuts Like Butter

Did someone say steak tips? We sure did. Scottie’s doesn’t call their Roadhouse Steak Tips the best in the city for nothing! These marinated steak tips were grilled to perfection, just as steak tips are supposed to be. They cut like butter and melt in your mouth, the texture was out of this world. These tasty tips were joined by deliciously steamed broccoli and sweet potato fries. What more could you ask for!?

How about the azorean!?

The what? The Azorean! Only on the SouthCoast can you get Cacoila – Portuguese pulled pork on a pizza. Joined by banana peppers this unlikely convergence of Italian and Portuguese cuisine is one for the books! I’m already day dreaming about eating the leftovers for dinner tonight. With the perfect amount of tomato sauce, this pizza brings out the best in Scottie’s authentic Cacoila!
